Name:
He seems to have been abundantly honored by his fellow-townsmen, and occupied a prominent position in Friends' meeting. he was town treasurer in 1716 and 1722, selectman in 1727, '28, '29, and constable in 1729. He was a housebuilder, and did a large business in sawing lumber. His will is dated ? 1729.

Henry married Deborah BRIGGS on 3 Jun 1698. Deborah was born in 1674; died on 25 Nov 1712. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

His name appears in the list of those who took the oath of fidelity at Duxbury in 1657. He became a convert to the Quaker faith (s did his father) about this time, and meetings were held at his ouse, for which he was fined in december, 1657. He removed to Newport R.I., and then in about 1662 to Dartmouth. He was killed by the Indians at Pocasset during King Philip's war, 21st of 1st month, 1676.

She applied to the Court for an order in her favor to assist in rearing her large family, and on July 3, 1678, was granted her husband's entrie estate, 'lands, goods and chattels.'
