GREENSBURG - Dean Dee Gamble, 84, died Nov. 7, 2015, in Greensburg. He was born June 26, 1931, in Edwards County, the son of Chester and Pearl (Welsch) Gamble.

Dean lived in Hutchinson, Stafford and Greensburg. He was a teacher 37 years and a farmer 61 years. He earned Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Math and Science from Kansas State University. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Greensburg, the Moose Lodge of Wichita, and a past member of the Kiowa County Memorial Hospital Board.

On Dec. 23, 1956, Dean married Marlene Louise Cummins in Macksville. She preceded him in death Aug. 2, 1993. Survivors include: a son, Ki Gamble and wife Kim of Greensburg; two grandchildren, Kasey Gamble and Katelynn Gamble, both of Greensburg; and a sister, Norma Gamble of Wichita.

Funeral and Celebration of Dean's Life will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2015, at the First United Methodist Church, Greensburg, with Pastor Terry Mayhew officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Greensburg. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Memorials are suggested to Friends of Education Charitable Trust, Greensburg, in care of Fleener Funeral Home, 514 S. Main St., Greensburg, KS 67054.
