    Obituary

    SLAUSON, Doris D.
    Doris D. Slauson, 95, a life-long resident of Montgomery passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2013. Doris formerly worked at Universal Advertising and Gayfers. She was preceded in death by her parents: Alfred and Annie Lee Deavers, daughter and son in law: Doris Ann and Jack Harris; and sister Margaret Heath. Survivors include her Daughters: Judy (Bryan) Hassler, Carol (Sonny) Van Houten; Sons: Wilbur "Bo" (Lisa) Slauson, Jr., Roy (Karen) Slauson; Brother: Alfred Deavers; 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Friday, February 22, 2013 at Leak Memory Chapel with Ministers Buddy Bell and Mark Loudermilk officiating. Visitation will begin at 1 pm. Interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Jim Dickens, Jay Dickens, Trey Slauson, Evan McCullers, Scott Slauson and Shawn Slauson. The family extends a special thanks to her loving caregivers Lois Jones and Jane Meriwether and to Amedisys Hospice.
