    Herman Donald "Doc" Mims, age 74, or Alabaster, AL, passed away on July 7, 2010. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Alice Inez Mims; 4 children, Don Mims (Kathryn), Donna Blakenship (Paul), Doug Mims (lisa) and Lonnie Mims (Laura); 7 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.

    Doc was well-respected in the printing business for his entire career. He was a member of Kingwood Assembly of God.

    Funeral services will be held on July 9, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Southern Heritage Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Southern Heritage Cemetery.

    Herman married Alice Inez SLAUSON in Aug 1954. Alice (daughter of Lonnie James SLAUSON and Alice Marie MAXWELL) was born on 15 Jul 1938 in Alabaster, Alabama; died on 17 Jan 2019; was buried in Southern Heritage Cemetery, Pelham, Shelby Co., Alabama. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
