    Funeral services for Stanley Elvin Corley, a Milwaukie resident and iron worker, will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Peake Memorial Chapel. Mr. Corley, 49, died Wednesday at his home. A decision on the cause of death is pending at the Clackamas County medical examiner's office.

    Born in Pilot Rock, Mr. Corley worked as a sheepherder in Eastern Oregon before joining the U.S. Navy in 1950. For the past 17 years he was an iron worker and was a member of Shopmen's Union Local 516.

    He also was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 907, American Legion Post 180, 40 et 8 Voiture No. 25 and the Diplomats.

    He is survived by his wife, LaVonna; a daughter, Susan Surratt, Gladstone; three stepchildren, Terry Malone of Yuba City, Calif.; Karen Ferguson of Loma Rica, Calif., and Pamela Leader of Portland; mother, Mabel Corley of Hamilton; two brothers, Marion of Hamilton, and Louis of Dale; two sisters, Joanne Tipton of Ukiah and Verna Weissenfluh of Longcreek; and two grandchildren.

    Burial will be at Willamette National Cemetery.
