Cynthia Cindy Gail Bub, age 72 of Collinsville, IL, born March 22, 1952 in Gary, IN, peacefully passed away on Friday, April 19, 2024 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital with her loving family by her side.

Cindy was a Collinsville High School graduate, Class of 1970. She attained an Associate Degree from Southwestern Illinois College in Physical Therapy and worked at Belleville Memorial Hospital as a physical therapist assistant as well as a therapy assistant for Anderson Hospital serving children with therapy needs in local schools.

Cindy was good at anything she tried. She was an avid researcher and knew everything about just about anything. She was an incredible cook and loved to feed her family. She could sew and upholster anything. She was everyone?s ?go-to.? She loved to travel and loved to end up anywhere around the beach or pool. Most important to her was spending time with her loved ones ? her husband, Marty of 52 years, and her two kids, Marty Jr. and Aimee, and their families which includes five granddaughters. Her granddaughters affectionally called her ?Zsa-Zsa.? She was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Marjorie (nee Slosson) Albaugh.

Surviving are her devoted husband, Martin Bub, Sr., whom she married October 23, 1971; son, Marty Jr. (Laura) Bub of Glen Carbon, IL; daughter, Aimee (Scott) Szymula of Glen Carbon, IL; five granddaughters: Christine Szymula, Lauren Bub, Katie Szymula, Lila Bub and Elizabeth Bub; two brothers: Jim (Claudia) Albaugh and Rick (Jamie) Albaugh; sister, Lori (Dennis) Huddleston; numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial visitation will be 10am to 1:30pm on Saturday April 27, 2024 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville, IL.

Memorial service will be at 1:30pm on Saturday. Private burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Edwardsville, IL.

Memorials are suggested to Children?s Hospital or Cardinal Glennon Hospital and will be received at the visitation or can be mailed to Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.

A visitation for Marjorie will be held on Fri, Jan. 11, 2019 from 9:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church in Collinsville, IL. A funeral will be held immediately following the visitation, at 11:00 A.M. at the church. Arrangements are under the care of Herr Funeral Home & Cremation Services
