  	Dona Faye Smith 1927-2002 ST. JOHN - Dona Faye Smith, 74, died July 7 at Hutchinson Hospital. She was born Sept. 16, 1927, at Stafford County, the daughter of Chester Roosevelt and Pansy Iona Leatherman. She was a graduate of Antrim High School. She married Donald D. Smith on Feb. 19, 1946, at Lyons. A lifetime resident of St. John, she was a homemaker, school bus driver and farmer. Mrs. Smith was a member of Eden Valley Church of the Brethren, Martha Rebekah Lodge, Extension Homemakers Unit and Mothers Club, all of St. John. Survivors include her husband of the home; one son, Randy D. Smith of Dodge City; one daughter, Kathie Howell of Hutchinson; four sisters, Betty Barker of Pratt, Bernice Shrum of Hutchinson, Joyce Rowley of Dodge City and Connie Mawhirter of St. John; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Darlene Bowden and Berneda Magie. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church with the Revs. Matthew Spurgin and David Albright officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Park Cemetery in St. John. Friends may call from 1-8 tonight at Minnis Chapel in St. John. Memorials are suggested to the church, in care of the chapel. Great Bend (Kan.)
