Jackson, Ann T. (nee Vitus), age 85 of Joliet, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. As a retired bookkeeper, she was employed by K-Mart for over 25 years. Survived by children, LaVerne "Jack" (Charlene) Jackson, Jr., Richard (Cathleen) Jackson, Gary Jackson, Terry (Debra) Jackson and Shirley (Jay) Koren; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, LaVerne J. "Jack" Jackson, Sr. (2011); one daughter, Barbara (nee Jackson) Zefeldt; one son, Bobby Jackson; one granddaughter, Bethany Jo Jackson-Dones; parents Frank and mary (Nee Horbulak) Vitus; two brothers and two sisters. Private funeral services for Ann T. Jackson were held with interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Memorials in her name may be made to Joliet Area Community Hospice. Arrangements by: Fred C. John Paris, Jr. passed away peacefully after a brief illness with his family by his side, Monday, July 27, 2015 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center. Age 79.
Survived by his three children, Doreen (Jamee) Fishbeck, Mary Jo Paris and Michael (Patty) Paris; six grandchildren, Andrew and Matthew (Jeri) Fishbeck, Samuel Figueroa, Taylyn, Lauren and Nicholas Paris. Three sisters, Patricia Kapella, Jean (Bruce) Gruben and Bea (Bill) Ryan. Also several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents, John Sr. and Mary Paris; and a brother, Raymond Paris.
Born in Joliet and lifelong resident. Graduate of Joliet Township High School. Retired Sr. Engineer from Caterpillar after 43 years. Attended St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church. Past member of Dale A.C., Joliet Ski Club and South Wilmington Sportsman Club.
Always seen attending his grandchildren's sporting events and was one of their biggest "critics".
Funeral services will be held from the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Rd., Friday, July 31, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. to St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials to the American Cancer Society will be appreciated.
Visitation Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Rev. Frank K. Vitus
Reverend Frank K. Vitus, age 65 years, died Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center. He was born in Joliet on February 7, 1949, the son of the late Frank B. and the late Catherine M. (nee Dodge) Vitus.
He attended St. Mary Magdalene Parish and Grade School in Joliet, Providence Catholic High School in New Lenox and he then entered St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in Romeoville. He attended Lewis College and in 1969, he completed his last two years at Quincy College where he graduated with a major in sociology and a minor philosophy. Father Frank studied theology at DeAndreis Seminary in Lemont and was ordained to Holy Priesthood at the Cathedral of St. Raymond by Bishop Romeo Blanchette on November 29, 1975.
Father Frank served as an associate pastor at St. Andrew Parish in Romeoville, St. Joseph Parish in Bradley, St. John the Baptist Parish in Winfield and SS Peter and Paul Parish in Naperville. He then served as pastor at St. Mary Parish in Minooka, St. Rose Parish in Wilmington, St. John the Baptist Parish in Winfield and currently at Christ the Servant Catholic Parish in Woodridge.
Survived by his cousins, many fellow priests, dear friends and numerous parishioners of the parishes he faithfully served during his priesthood.
A concelebrated memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be said at Christ the Servant Catholic Church, 8700 Havens Drive Woodridge, Illinois on Saturday, August 16, 2014, at 11:00 am. Most Reverend R. Daniel Conlon, Main Celebrant. Private interment Resurrection Cemetery, Romeoville, Illinois.

LaVerne was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from BASF. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting ,fishing and spending time at the lake with his family and friends.
Survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Charlene J. (nee Ligos); two daughters, Tina (Larry) Susner and Lisa (Raul) Rivera; seven grandchildren, Michael (Stacy), Nicole and Natalie Susner, Krystal, Raul III, and Elijah Rivera and Evelyn Dones; four siblings, Richard (Cathy) Jackson, Gary Jackson, Terry (Debbie) Jackson and Shirley (Jay) Koren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

She was a graduate of Joliet West High School and DePaul University. She later received her Masters degree in library science.
Bethany, we will miss your quick wit and your sense of humor. How blessed we all were to have had you in our lives. She is in the arms of angels now, rest in peace our beloved Roo.
Bethany is survived by her husband, Emilio Dones; daughter, Evelyn Rose; her parents, Jack and Charlene Jackson; her sisters, Tina (Larry) Susner and Lisa (Raul) Rivera; her grandparents, Charlotte Ligos, and Ann and Jack Jackson, Sr.; her husband's parents, Carmen I. Dones and Wilman Dones, Sr.;and numerous nieces, nephews and family.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, John Ligos.
Funeral services: Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 12:15 p.m. from the funeral home to the Church of St. Jude, 2212 McDonough Street, Joliet for a mass of Christian burial at 1:00 p.m.
