Hugh Luttrell, Knt., of Dunster, co. Somerset, M.P, for Somerset and Devon, younger son and eventual heir, was born about or probably before 1364. He married before 1384 Katherine Beaumont. They had two sons and four daughters. Sir Hugh Luttrell died aged about sixty-four on 24 Mar 1428, apparently while on a visit to one of his daughters, a nun at Shaftesbury, Dorset.

Joan De La Pole, Baroness Cobham 'suo jure', daughter and heiress, was granddaughter and Heiress of John, 3rd Lord Cobham. She was married for the first time at an early age before November 1380 to Robert Hemenale, Knt., of Polstead Hall in Burnham Norton, Norfolk (and had a son William idiot from birth, who died after 1391). he died in September 1391 and was buried in Westminster Abbey. She was married for the second tie between September 1391 and February 1392, when still underage, to Reynold Braybrooke, Knt., of Cooling Castle, Kent.
She was married for the third time, within a year of his death, as his second wife, to Nicholas Hawberk, Knt. (died 9 Oct 1407). they had a son John who died as an infant. Within three months of his death she succeeded her grandfather as Lady of Cobham.
