    He enlisted in the Revolutionary War in Captain Chester's (9th) Company, 2nd Conn regiment, Colonel Cpencer on 12 May 1775 and was discharged. Frederick was at the battle of Bunker Hill and was part owner later of a privateer, in which sailing he was captured by the British and endured much suffering in prison ship until exchanged.

    Frederick married Mehitable WOLCOTT on 12 Apr 1781 in Wethersfield, Hartford, Connecticut, USA. Mehitable (daughter of Deacon Elisha WOLCOTT and Sarah NOTT) was born on 12 Jun 1759 in Wethersfield, Hartford Co., Connecticut; died on 31 May 1806 in Rocky Hill, Connecticut.
