SCHUMACHER, MARY E. - Mary E. Schumacher of, Hanover, MI passed away on December 2, 2011 at her home. She was born on December 6, 1920 in Jackson, Michigan to Claude and Mary (Slauson) Meacham. Mary is survived by one daughter, mary (Ken) Friess of Brooklyn, MI' two sons, Charles (Judy) Schumacher of Onstead, MI and Ronald (Mary) Schumacher of Hanover, MI; five grandchildren, Kathryn, Cheryl, Steve, Michelle, and Jennifer; four great-grandchildren, Christopher, Mary, Jacob and Jillian; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, H. George Schumacher of 35 years; one son, Harold (Wanda) Schumacher; two sisters; and one brother. Mary was a member of St. Catherine Lboure Church in Concord. She loved spending time with her family and making pies. She was a hard worker and enjoyed being a farmer throughout her life. A Funeral Mass to honor the life of Mrs. Mary E. Schumacher will be held at St. Catherine Laboure Church (211 Harmon Street Concord, MI) on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Father Denis Spitzley officiating. Interment will follow in the Horton Cemetery. the family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the church. A Rosary Service will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. the family will also receive friends for visitation on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass Friends who wish may make memorial contributions to a charity of their choice.
