Tufano age 99, of Matamoras, PA and formerly a long time resident of Lower Mongaup in the Town of Lumberland passed away, Friday, December 3, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Carol was born on December 16, 1921 in the Town of Greenville, NY, the daughter of the late Alvord and Mary Olive Mason Phillips. She retired as an assembler for Kolmar Labs, in Port Jervis. Carol married Bernard "Nick" Tufano, who pre-deceased her in 2013. She is survived by her two sons; Anthony Tufano of Port Charlotte, Florida, Nicholas Tufano and his wife Maureen of Port Jervis, her daughter Bernadette Tufano of Deltona, Florida, her beloved grandchildren; Teresa and her husband Frank, Tony, Gina, Lisa and her husband Brian, Michele and her husband Darryl, Staci and her husband Ray, Amy and her husband Mike, Keith and his wife Patsi, Scott and his wife Cathy, Jessica and her husband Robert, Paula and her companion Ronnie, Richie and his wife Kirsten, Nancy, Dawn and her husband Rob, her great grandchildren; Chelsea and her husband Derek, Brandon, Coral, Willow and her wife Zuri, Iris, Nicole and her fiancé Richard, Nicholas, Isabella and her fiancé Robert, Olivia, Sophia, Samuel, Sasha, Jake, Mason, Lucas, Dane, Robbie, Danica, Cody, Tyler and his wife Lauren and Ashlyn, her two great great grandchildren; Arabella and Cole, her son-in-law Robert Carpenter and her sister-in-law Helene Phillips, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held 11AM-1 PM, Friday, December 10, at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY. Funeral services will follow at 1 PM, Friday at the Funeral Home. Rev. Nancy Vonderhorst will officiate. Interment will follow at the Lower Mongaup Cemetery, Lower Mongaup, Town of Lumberland. Arrangements are by the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E.     Dick Phillips, 91, a lifelong resident of Port Jervis, NY, died May 16th, 2019. He honorably served in the U.S. Army from 1944 ? 1948.
    The son of the late Alvord Phillips Sr. and Mary Olive Mason.
    He is survived by his three daughters: Vickie and husband, Wilson Gardner of Shiremanstown, PA, Linda and husband, Tom Osborne of Barnegat, NJ and Alicia and husband, Kevin DeVries of Wurtsboro, NY; ten grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; his sister, Carol Tufano; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Alice Kahrs Phillips; his brother, Alvord Phillips; his sister, Madge Benjamin and his twin sister, Rotha Pedlock.
    Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 8 at Drew United Methodist Church in Port Jervis, NY.

She is survived by her loving daughter Sue DiGiantommaso of Port Jervis, her twin brother Richard Phillips, her sister Carol Tufano of Matamoras, PA, her beloved grandchildren; Gina Lamoreaux, Tony DiGiantommaso and his wife Nancy, John DiGiantommaso and his wife Missy and their father John DiGiantommaso, Adam Hallock, Joanna Everett and Sarah Rauch and their father James Hallock, her great grandchildren; Monica, Austin, Sophia, Justin, Gianna, Gemma, Jenna, Paige, Robby, Ty, Caleb, Anna and Sarah, and her sister-in-laws Helene Phillips of Port Jervis and Renee Pedlock of Matamoras, PA and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Rotha was pre-deceased by her daughter Olivia Hallock, her sister Madge Benjamin and her brother Alvord Phillips, Jr. A family statement read ? Rotha was loving and caring to her family, she cherished each and everyone of them. She was known to many as the ?sweet lady?, she will be greatly missed.?
