Excerpt from "The Descendants of William Beardsley and Mary Harvey": She was a young woman at the time of the famous Deerfield attck in 1693. She was hit with a tomahawk and sclped. She survived the vicious attack. However, eleven years later she was murdered by another band of Indians."
