    Notes:

    Name:
He sold his lands in Newton, 1720, and moved away, leaving no record of his children. he was of Pomfret, Ct., in 1734, and in that yea purchased lands in Ashford, in the deed of which he is called of Pomfret. In 1738 he purchased lands in Ashford, of Thomas Hill, of Boston, and mortgaged the same to Hill. He was living in 1761, and conveyed lands there, other than what he had of Hill, to Jabez Ward. he probably had deceased before 1770; as in that year, Hill quitted to Daniel and Jabez Ward, and the rest of the heirs of the said Thomas; and in 1771, Daniel and Jabez quitted their right and title to the same lands, mortgaged by Thomas Ward to Hill, and say, that they, the said Daniel and Jabez, are the lawful heirs to the same; by another deed, Silas Chapin and his wife, Anna, and James Eaton, all of Springfield, quitted their right to the same land, and to the same person. They were probably "the rest of the heirs." Daniel and Jabez purchased lands in Ashford, 1754. Daniel was of Glastenbury, Ct., 1771, and sold out at Ashford, 1780. Jabez was of Ashford util 1784, when he sold out and moved away. Daniel and Jabez were the sons, and probably Anna Chapin, a dau. of Thomas Ward.
