Dr. Donovan of Waupun is Dead at 82
Retired Veterinarian, President of Bank; Curch Rites.
"Dr. Leo T. Donovan, 82, East franklin St., Waupun, died at 2 am. today at Waupun Memorial Hospital.
He was born Nov. 26, 1883 in Waupun, the son of Dennis and Ellen Rowells Donovan. He married Edith Wood at Waupun Sept 15, 1928. A grudate of Waupun High School, he attended the University of Wisconsin for two years and was a 1906 graduate of the Chicago College of Veterinary (medicine).
He had practiced his profession for over 50 years, retiring ten years ago. He was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Waupun, and Waupun Rotary Club. He was past president of theWisconsin Veterinary Medical Association and the Southereastern Veterinary Association.
He had been a director of the State Bank of Waupun from 1946 to 1953 and president and chairman of the board of directors since 1953.
Survivors include his wodow,; one sister, Miss Madge Donovan; and on brother, James, both of Gary, Indiana; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
Friends may call after 2 pm. Friday at the Beyers Funeral Home, Waupun. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Church, Waupun, Rev. Hugh Rochkes officiating. Burial will be in Forst Mound Cemetery, Waupun." (source-Lawrence P. Rowells of Chicago.)
