- JOHN SLIKER
John Sliker, eighty-six, died Sunday evening, July 16, at the home of his son, Henry Sliker, of Ryerson avenue, Newton, as told in The Independent last week. He was the fourth oldest child of the late Isaac W. and Emmaline Spinner Sliker and was born at Swartswood. There were fifteen younger in the family. Mr. Sliker married Miss Anna Kays, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Kays, of Swartswood. Mrs. Sliker died about eighteen years ago near Layton. Survivors are his children, David, of Stroudsburg, Pa.; Harry, whereabouts unknown; Richard and Henry, of Newto; Charles, of Columbia; Mrs. Grace Kays, O Andover; Mrs. Viola Mott, of aston, Pa., and Mrs. Olive Lemin, of Paterson; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; four brothers, Abraham L. Sliker, of Sussex; Peter C., of Beaver Lake; Andrew Jackson, of Middleville, and Horatio Seymour, of Kamp Klameshia, and one sister, Mrs. Hannah Nippert, of Newark.
