She lived in Texas City during her childhood and married Robert Wayne Pace at age 18. That marriage produced one son, John Robert Pace. After a divorce from Mr. Pace She married Arlen Ray Myrick. That marriage produced three children. Danny Ray Myrick, Melinda Joyce Myrick and Tammy Diane Myrick. After the marriage to Mr. Myrick failed she showed great strength raising three kids almost totally alone. She then married Jack Lassiter of Jacksonville, Texas. After a major stroke Ms. Lassiter spent the last few years of her life in nursing homes, the strength she showed was an inspiration to all who knew her.
