- He removed to Newington (year not given), where he lived first in a house given him by his father. He moved later to the East side of "Ten-Rod" highway, which was begun by his father. his son Robert and grandson Robert lived lated in the same house. Robert built another home on the West side of "Ten-Rod" which was occupied his grandson Abraham and his descendants. This family became known as the "Ten-Rod Wells Family." Robert was Clerk of the new Esslesiastical Society from Dec. 1744 to Dec. 1779 and the Society's Treasurer from 6 June 1757 to 6 Dec 1779. [1]
