- Dea. Isaac North was the fist enrolled member and the fist deacon of the Second Congregational Church of Berlin, organized Feb. 9, 1775/ He lived in a house still occupied and in good condition, situated one mile north of Berlin Village, and later known as the Abijah North place. The highway was later changed from the front to the rear of the house so that the back door now faces the street. [1]
