After the organization of the town if Middletown, in 1651, or 1652, he was chosen recorder, Feb. 25, 1654. In 1672, he received a grant of three hundred acres of land for services in the war, having been made a lieutenant by the General Court in April, 1654. He was a deputy nine times, from 1653-1662. About 1660, he returned to Hartford. Was chosen townsman in 1664; list and rate maker in 1668. Mrs. Webster's will is preserved in the probate office, Hartford.
