    • He left Taunton with his parents in early youth. After marriage he left Arlington, Vt., and settled in Fairhaven about 1832, having purchased land of Alonzo Safford. he lived on this farm and tilled it working at the same time at the forge. He sold the farm in July 1839, and, the following January, purchased the farm known as the Brainerd farm, about a mile south of his former residence. He sold the farm in 1852 to Samuel Jones and in June 1853, he purchased a building lot in the village and built the house in which Wm. Perry resides. In 1859 he joined several of his sons in Marquette, Michigan. He and his wife lived there until their deaths. [1]
