- OBITUARY:
Wausau Record-Herald, May 17, 1945; Mrs. Bertha Theisen, 55, 1808 Fairmont St., a life-long resident of Wausau, died this morning at 2:15 o'clock at a local hospital following a lingering illness. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 8:30 o'clock at the Ritter & Deutsch funeral home and at 9 o'clock at St. James Catholic Church. The Right Rev. Msgr. T.E. O'Shaughnessy will officiate and interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home.
Bertha Schroeder was born here October 11, 1889 and was married here October 29, 1908, to William Theisen, who survives. Other survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Gerry H. Reeves, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Reynold Lilliquist, Escondido, CA; two sons, Lt. Eugene theisen, who was wounded recently and who is in a field hospital in the European theater, and Russell Theisen, at home; a brother, Walter Schroeder, 1222 S. Fifth Avenue; a half-brother, Charles Lenz, 101 1/2 Harrison blvd., and two grandchildren. [1]
