Name |
Caleb PAGE [2] |
- Caleb was the son of Jeremiah Page and Deborah Hendrick of Haverhill, Mass. He was married first in Haverhill on 24 Oct 1727 to Elizabeth Merrill, b. Haverhill 2 Nov 1704, d. 1740, the daughter of Nathaniel Merrill and Sarah Woodman. He married second, in Haverhill, on 11 March 1741/2 Mrs. Sarah Carleton. Capt Page's daughter, Elizabeth, was the wife of General John Stark.
That Captain Page is buried here is told in Caleb Stark's 1860 History of Dunbarton, NH (p 185): "Capt. Page and his second wife were buried in Heath's graveyard in Bow, within six feet of the road from Page Corner to Concord. His first wife was buried at Haverhill, Mass."
Captain Page actually purchased this cemetery from Solomon Heath (who is buried here), according to Caleb Stark.
