Duke of Lancast by Katherine (Roet) Swynford. He was summoned to Parliament as a Baron (Lord Bergavenny) from 5 Sep 1450, by writs directed 'Edwardo Nevil domino de Bergevenny militi'. Edward and Katherine had cohabited in the lifetime of his first wife, she being related to him in the third degree. [1]
