- Excerpts from New England Historical & Genealogical Register: Moses served in Captain Light's Company in the expedition against Louisbourg in 1745. In 1755 he was one of those who signed a petition regarding the minister's rate, as he did on several occasions. He was a surveyor of "shingels" in 1766; served on the grand jury in 1768, and as a petit juror in 1772.
