    • "Whitney Genealogy": A Tanner, currier and shoemaker; had fourteen pounds in his father's will, 14 Nov. 1764, in consideration of the same sum formerly given to his brother, Daniel Keeler, their trades being estimated at thirty-five pounds, each. He owned the covenant, in New Canaan, 21 June 1767, and was married, 15 June 1769, at South Salem, Westchester Co., NY by Rev. Solomon Mead, pastor of the Presbyterian Church at South Salem, to Elizabeth Weed, dau. of Peter Weed and born at Ridgebury, Conn. They settled in New Canaan, and there joined covenant 4 Aug. 1771. After a few years, they moved to South Salem, where they joined the Presbyterian Church, 2 June 1787. They died in South Salem; she, 21 Dec. 1807 ae. 64; he, 14 Jan. 1818, ae 78; and were buried in the Presbyterian Churchyard. [1]
