A minute in the records of that meeting in which bears date 17, 8, 1715, shows the appointen of Deliverance Smith and Benjamin Howland "to get more ? in the gallerys before the yearly meeting." He was a ? and owned what is called the Rounds Hills farm in Dartmouth. He was a prominent citizen, evidence of which ? in his frequent selecting for responsible positions ? and meeting affairs. he held the offices of selectman and Assessor in 1697, was a surveyer of highways in 1698 and constable in 1709. he was appointed treasurer ? meeting fund 19, 9, 1705. His will was ? he mentions children, Abigail, Desire, Lydia, ? and Barnabas, "living."
