    • Marlene Marie (Tuttle) Pavelec, age 75, of Friendship, Wisconsin died March 12, 2012 at Meadowview Memory Care in Baraboo, Wisconsin. Father James P. McNamee will officiate the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Friendship, Wisconsin at 11 a.m., on Friday, March 16, 2012. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Friendship, Wisconsin from 4 to 8p.m., with a Rosary held before from 3 to 4p.m. Friends may also call on Friday from 10 a.m. until the Mass. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials in Marlene's name be given to the Adams-Friendship Area Education Foundation Fine Arts/Auditorium Project.

      Marlene was born on May 16, 1936, in Stevens Point, Wisconsin to Charles A. and Gertrude K. Tuttle. She graduated from Adams-Friendship High School and attended University of Wisconsin in Madison. While in high school Marlene met Adolf E. Pavelec, who she married in 1957. They were married for 54 years and raised four children; Cheryl Ann, Lawrence John, Teresa Marie and Gerald Edward.

      In addition to raising her family, Marlene was a broker and co-owner of Pavelec Realty founded in 1959 and located in Adams, Wisconsin. Marlene also started a branch in the Town of Rome. She had a passion for real estate earning her REALTOR, CRS, CRB and GRI professional designations. As a successful real estate broker, Marlene held positions in both state and local real estate organizations. She was on the Board of both the WRA and WAM Board of Realtors, served as VP for Wisconsin Realtor's Education Programs and was the Chapter President for Wisconsin CRB. Marlene received special recognitions being awarded the Wisconsin CRB and Realtor of the Year in 1986 and the Wisconsin REALTOR Distinguished Service Award in 1996. She thoroughly enjoyed providing training and education to new associates embarking on a real estate career.

      Marlene assisted in many civic organizations. She was on the Board of the Adams County Hospital serving as President and Secretary, the Library Board, Adams County Chamber of Commerce and was a 4-H Leader and 4-H Key Award Winner. Marlene's passion included education and reading.

      She was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her loving family:

      Granddaughters: Nicole Marti, Tempe, Arizona
      Kelsey Marti, Minneapolis, Minnesota
      Jennifer Pavelec, Mequon, Wisconsin
      Caitlyn Neider, Madison, Wisconsin
      Grandsons: Adam Neider, Madison, Wisconsin
      Max Pavelec, Mequon, Wisconsin
      Sisters: Margaret A. de Pereiro (Ulises), Friendship, Wisconsin
      Karen G. Ramsey (John), Friendship, Wisconsin
      Brother: Charles Donald Tuttle, Friendship, Wisconsin
      And her many nieces and nephews.

      The family would like to express their gratitude and deep admiration for all of Marlene's caregivers. Her sister Karen, Linda Graf, LeeAnn Roseberry, Betty Waller, and especially Jean Luetkens and the entire staff at Meadowview Memory Center. You have been such a wonderful gift.


      FRIENDSHIP - Marlene Marie Pavelec, age 75, of Friendship, died March 12, 2012, at the Meadow View Memory Care in Baraboo.
      Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. on Friday, March 16, 2012, at the ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH in Friendship. Interment will be at the St. Leo's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. on Thursday at ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH and again on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass.
