    • Mary Frances Slauson Westwater passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at the age of 99.

      Born in Birmingham, Alabama, she was the daughter of Proctor Croel Slauson (1894-1942) and Mary Ann Carey Slauson (1897-?). She had two brothers; Charles Carey Slauson born in 1922 and Thomas Croel Slauson born in 1926.

      She was a lifelong resident of Birmingham/Hoover, AL and a graduate of Phillips High School.

      Mary Frances was a member Bluff Park United Methodist Church and was retired from Jefferson County.

      She was preceded in death by her husband Robert William Westwater (1917-1994); brothers: Charles and Thomas Slauson; parents: Proctor Croel Slauson and Mary Ann Carey Slauson.

      Survivors include her daughters: Anne Foote (Jim) of Hoover and Linda Kay Westwater of Hoover; granddaughter, Allison Foote Dillon (Chad); great granddaughter, Hannah Dillon of Hoover.

      Her Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Elmwood Cemetery.
