    • William Lewis Thurston, Sr., 88, of North Chesterfield, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 15, 2012. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Susan H. Thurston; daughter, Charlotte T. Williams (Tommy); son, William "Bill" L. Thurston, Jr. (Betty); grandchildren, Billy Thurston, Stephanie Wilson (Marty) and T. W. Williams (Jessica); great-grandchildren, Ashley, Karie and Chase Wilson, Carma Williams and Melanie Thurston. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday at Morrissett Funeral and Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rte. 10). His funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Centralia Presbyterian Church, 4625 Centralia Rd., Chester, VA 23831. Interment to follow in Centralia Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Centralia Presbyterian Church.
