- Zachariah Bicknell was admitted to full communion in the Congregation Church, Barrington, Rev. Peleg heath, minister, Mar. 26, 1732. About 1735 he removed with his family to Ashford, Conn. He was elected ensign of the train-band and was promoted to the captaincy. He was an active and useful citizen and an influential member of the Congregational Church of Ashford. [1]
