  1. 1.  Jacob WARNER was born in Nov 1716 in Hadley, Hampshire Co., Massachusetts (son of Jacob WARNER and Mary ?); died in 1795.

    Notes:

    Name:
    Jacob Warner went to Amherst from Hadley after his brothers Moses and Aaron, some time after 1745; was appointed on a committee to issue warrants for precinct meetings, 1752, and was one of the incorporators of the Second Parish in Amherst. He was surveyor in 1754, and at the first meeting of the district of Amherst, March 19, 1759, was elected fence-viewer. Frequent mention of his name occurs on the cords of Amherst for the next few years, and in 1788 he was on the list of land owners.

    Jacob Warner received double portion of his father's estate as eldest son, and resided on the plot in Hadley where his father and grandfather had lived. He continued the malting business of his father and his name occurs frequently in the town records as a land-holder.
