James "JR" Roulston, 81 of Elgin, Texas passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Friday, June 21, 2013 at the Elgin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

JR was born in Midlothian, Texas to J.A. Sr. and Alma "Nettie." He was free spirited, enjoyed fishing and hunting and never missed an opportunity to enjoy a cold beer with family and friends. He served in the Army and was an active Mason with Hill City Lodge No. 456 in Austin, Texas.

He was predeceased by both parents and survived by his sister Eloyse King; and his three children, Ricky and his wife Tanya of Manor, Texas, Lois Butler of Austin, Texas, Jenette Whitaker and her husband Keith of Butner, North Carolina; one grandchild, Derek Butler of Austin, Texas; as well as numerous family and friends.

The family would like to express a sincere gratitude to the members of the Elgin Nursing Rehab and the Hospice Compassus. Their dedication and effort to provide quality care was a heartwarming blessing to the entire family. The family requests Memorial contributions are made in JR's memory to the charity of your choosing.

A memorial service will be conducted at the Elgin Funeral Home on Saturday, June 29, 2013 from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM. Inurnment will be private

Peggy Nell Earls, 69, of Austin departed peacefully on Sunday, February 15, 2009. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the loss of our mother. Mom was an avid reader and a fabulous seamstress who loved life. She expressed her creativity through many avenues including jewelry making, gardening and baking. She was an inspiration to always do your best and be true to who you are. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend and we already miss her dearly. Mom you were taken too soon however we take peace in believing that God wanted you more. She is survived by four children, six grandchildren, one great grandchild and two brothers. The family will greet friends and loved ones on Friday, February 20, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at 5503 Bitterwood Dr. Austin, Texas. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 21 at 2:00 p.m. at Howell-Doran Funeral Home located at 1901 W. Wallace in San Saba, Texas. Miss you and love you. Your children.
