Francis Hastings, K.B., K.G., 4th Lord Hastings, 2nd Earl of Hntingdon, P,.C. is the son and heir of George Hastings, of Ashby-de-la-Zouch, co. Leicester, 3rd Lord hastings of Hastings, by Anne, daughter of Henry Stafford, 2nd Duke of Buckingham. They had six sons and four daughters. Francis Hastings, Earl of Huntingdon, died testate aged forty-seven at Ashby on 23 June 1560.

George Hastings, K.B., of Ashby-de-la-Zouch, co. Leicester, 3rd Lord Hastings of Hastings, and Lord Hastings of Hungerford, P.C. to King Henry VIII is son and heir. he was summoned to Parliament from 17 Oct 1509. He was created Earl of Huntingdon on 8 Dec 1529, and about 1533 succeeded his mother as Lord Botreaux, Lord Hungerford and Lord Moleyns. In 1536 he was in command against the rebels in the rising called 'the Pilgrimage of Grace'.

Probably in consequence of the marriage, he was summoned to Parliament from 15 Nov 1482 by writs directed 'Edwardo Hastyng' de Hungreford', whereby he is held to have become Lord hastings of Hungerford. They had two children. With the reversal of the attainders of the 3rd Lord Hungerford and his son Sir Thomas Hungerford, she became in addition suo jure Baroness Hungerford and Baroness Moleyns in 1485.

William Hastings, Knt., K.G., of Kirby, co. Leicester, and Burton Hastings, co. Warwick, Sheriff of Warwickshire and Leicestershire, is the son of Leonard Hastings, Knt., of Kirby and Burton Hastings, by Alice, daughter of Thomas de Camonys, Lord Camoys. They had three sons and one daughter. On account of his great services against King Henry VI, the Earls of Pembroke and Wiltshire, and other rebels and traitors, in 1 Edw. IV, he was raised to the rank of a Baron, thereby becoming Lord Hastings, and on 17 Feb 1461/2 the King granted him the lordship, barony, and honour of Hastings. He was summoned to Parliament from 26 July 1461 by writs directed 'Willelmo Hastynges militi domino Hastynges'. "William Hastings Knyght, Lord hastyngs" was arrested, by the order of Richard, Duke of Gloucester, at a council in the Tower of London, charged with high treason, and beheaded testate on 13 June 1483. he was buried at St. George's Chapel, Windsor. The will of "Kateryn lady hastinges" was dated 22 Nov 1503, and was proved 25 Mar 1504/5 requesting burial at Ashby de la Zouch.
William married Katherine NEVILLE before 06 Feb 1461/2. Katherine (daughter of Sir Richard DE NEVILLE, K.G. and Alice MONTAGU) died between 22 Nov 1503 and 25 Mar 1504. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
