    His will, recorded Little Compton wills, book 2, page 415, made 11 March 1775 and proved 8 April 1779: "being something infirm as to bodily health...To my wife Mary improvement of best room in my now dwelling house, best bed and furniture, one cow, four sheep and all my geese and to be kept by my executor both in winter and summer, my widow. To son Owen my old gun, silver buttons for breeches and a living in my house as long as he is single. To son William whole of my real estate where I now dwell both housing and land and all shop tools. To daughter Rhoda one bed stead, bed and cord, my high cupboard, being in my house and a living in my house as long as she is single. To daughter Rachel one bed, bed stead and great oval table and a living in my house as long as she is single. To daughter Ruth one bed, bed stead, my great chest and a living in my house as long as she is single. To three daughter, Rhoda, Rachel and Ruth, all the rest of my household goods. My son William shall provide for his mother as long as she remains my widow and live in the house with her. My pew in the Congregational Meeting House to all my children, son William to have the rest and residue and to be my executor...."

  1. 2.  Jonathan RECORDS was born in 1684; died on 01 Jun 1742 in Little Compton, Newport County, Rhode Island; was buried in Old Commons Cemetery, Little Compton, Rhode Island.

    Residence: Little Compton. they lived on the road that goes to South Shore. they lived at the corner of Swamp Road and the road now called Wilbor Sisson Boulevard. He was a cooper.

    His will, recorded book 10, page 163, made 10 may 1742 and proved 15 June 1742: "To wife Mary a bed with furniture and one cow. To son Jonathan my desk, oval table, two chests, in my great room below, all my cattle, horses, working tools, my pew in meeting house, great long table, my great chair and he to be executor. To daughter Hannah Wilbor, one good bed. to daughter Mary Church, 10 pounds and ...cupboard. To daughter Martha Wilbor, high case of drawers and great looking glass. To daughter Comfort Tabor, my loom and weaving tackling that belongs to it. To daughter Abishag Briggs, all my pewter, brass and iron. To John Records if he be in the land of the living ten pounds if he ever returns home again. The rest and residue to son Jonathan and his mother..."
