Name:
Judah Paddock was a whaler; his gravestone calls him Captain. He was granted 20 shares in the common land division in yarmouth in 1710. He was chosen selectman in 1718 and was the acting parish clerk the same year when the East Precinct was organized. Judah was chosen to moderate the meetings of the East Precinct parish on 22 March 1722/3, 5 November 1723, 11 July 1726, 12 Mae 1727/8, 12 October 1728, 21 January 1728/9, 28 March 1733, 9 january 1734/5, and 1 October 1735. he was chosen as one of the assessors for the parish on 12 March 1727/8 and 13 March 1728/9.

David Alden on 5 June 1718 gave 45 acres each in lots #141 and #156 in Middleborough in the South Purchase for love and affection to his daughter Alice and son-in-law Judah Paddock, of Yarmouth. On 19 December 1723 they sold this land and on 1 July 1730 they sold David Alden's rights in the 16 Shilling Purchase in Middleborough to Noah sprague.

Judah married Alice ALDEN on 05 Dec 1706 in Duxbury, Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA. 2. Judah PADDOCK, Jr. was born on 27 Mar 1709/10 in Yarmouth, Barnstable County, Massachusetts; died on 21 May 1748 in Dartmouth, Massachusetts; was buried in Achushnet Cemetery.
3. Samuel PADDOCK was born on 12 Oct 1711 in Yarmouth, Barnstable County, Massachusetts; died on 27 Jul 1757 in Yarmouth, Massachusetts; was buried in Paddock Cemetery, East Dennis, Massachusetts.
4. Mary PADDOCK was born on 5 Mar 1714.
5. Grace PADDOCK was born on 27 Jan 1715/6 in Yarmouth, Barnstable County, Massachusetts; died on 17 Sep 1780 in Harwich, Barnstable County, Massachusetts; was buried in Old Burying Ground, Brewster, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts.
6. Rebecca PADDOCK was born on 12 May 1718 in Yarmouth, Barnstable County, Massachusetts; died on 3 Jan 1812 in Cummington, Massachusetts.
7. Nathaniel PADDOCK was born on 27 Feb 1723/4 in Yarmouth, Barnstable County, Massachusetts; died before 06 Nov 1758.

Zachariah married Deborah SEARS. Deborah (daughter of Richard SARES and Dorothy ?) was born on 16 Sep 1639 in Yarmouth, Barnstable County, Massachusetts; died on 17 Aug 1732 in Yarmouth, Barnstable County, Massachusetts ; was buried in Paddock Cemetery, East Dennis, Massachusetts. Name:
Robert was said to have married as his first wife Mary Ball, given as born 1852 and buried in Killany 14 September 1627, daughter of Zachery and Margaret Ball of Stephenstown.

Robert (as claimed) inherited the blacksmith shop of his father in Killany, Barony of Ardee, County Louth, Ireland, in the will of his mother made at Killany 15 May 1607:

"The Inwarie of the goods of the said Jane Paddock, widow of John Paddock, deceased, late of Killary...to my son Robert Paddock the balcksmith shop, one cow, five yardes of broad cloathes and to him my movable personalty and to his wife, Mary Paddock, born Ball my blake cloak"

The name of the ship and the year of the emigration of Robert Paddock remain unknown. He may well have been in Plymouth by 132, there having been two of his children entered in the Plymouth Colony records born before 1636...

After his death in 1650 "some of the Children of Robert Paddocke Deceased" were entered in the Plymouth colony vital records (MD 17:185):

"The Register of the age of some of the Children of Robert Paddocke Deceased

Imprimis William Palmer the son in law of the said Robert Paddocke; was born the 27th of June 1634

Zacariah Paddocke the son of Robert Paddocke was borne the 20th of March 1636

Mary the Daughter of Robert Paddocke was borne the tenth of March 1638
Allis the Daughter of Robert Paddocke was borne the 7th of March 1640
John the son of Robert Paddocke was borne the first of April 1643

There are two other that are before registered in this booke" (MD 17:185)
Thus the births of Zachariah, Mary, Alice and John were recorded in the Plymouth Colony records, and indirectly Elizabeth, not named but implied by reference to her husband William Palmer "the son in law of said Robert Paddocke" (MD 17:185).

Robert, Jr. and Elizabeth were likely the "two other that are before registered in this booke" but the accidental omission of Susanna from this list is not accounted for. (The original record of Plymouth births does not extend earlier than 1648, as it now stands. The first few pages are badly worn and there are pages missing.) Some accounts included a potential son George, probably due to an error in an early article on the Paddock family (NEHGR 12:220) wherein this supposed son was said to have marriedSarah Ricard in 1657. The original record reads: "Georg Pdcock & Sarah Ricard marred the XVIth may 1640 Plymouth" (MD: 13:85)
