MILLIGAN JORDAN was son of Robert JORDAN & Sarah WIMMER. He was was reared with 8 or 9 siblings; namely, Andrew, Jacob, Sarah, Robert, Thomas, John, Abraham, James, and perhaps Eliza Jordan. In 1850 Milligan resided with his widowed mother and brother, Abraham, in Marion Township, Shelby County, Indiana.

Milligan married 17 November 1856 in Sharpsville, Liberty Township, Madison County, Indiana to Louisa Richie/Richey Turner. She was the daughter of Meshack TURNER III and Sarah "Sary" Hickman TUCKER.

Two years later, Milligan was deceased. He died 1 September 1858 in Tipton County, Indiana leaving behind a infant son and young widow.
