Name:
Edward Sprague of Upway was a fuller by trade. His Fulling Mill was standing until recently. the church in which he worshiped is shown in the illustration. He died in Upway in 1614 and it was his request that his body be buried in the village church yard. His will was Proved Oct. 13, 1614, in the Prerogative Court of Canterbury. It was discovered among the papers of Capt. William sprague of Leicester, Mass., who died in 1832 and was published in the second edition of Hosea Sprague's "Genealogy of the Spragues in Hingham."
