    Other Events and Attributes:

    • Fact: Son of Thomas Clarke and Sarah

    Notes:

Excerpt from "A Genealogical History of the Clark and Worth Families": Jonathan was an Ipswich soldier in Major Appleton's company in Philip's War, 1675, his Narragansett grant in Buxton was allowed in 1735 to one Nathaniel Clark, probably his nephew, son of Thomas. Jonathan was taxed with his brother Samuel in 1672 at Portsmouth NH and was a witness with Sergeant Thomas in 1677, and a resident of Newbury in 1679. He may have been the Jonathan Clark with grants at Portland, Me., in 1680, but was taxed in Newbury in August 1688. The family seems to have left Newbury after 1694 and may have moved to New Hampshire.

Jonathan married Lydia TITCOMB on 15 May 1683. Lydia (daughter of William TITCOMB and Elizabeth BITFIELD) was born on 13 Jun 1663 in Newbury, Essex, Massachusetts, USA. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
