    Charline Marilyn (Johnson) Slason passed away February 24, 2012, due to a long-lasting bout with Alzheimer's disease. Sherry, as her close friends called her, lived her early years in the Kansas City area, having attended Shawnee Mission High School. There, she was a majorette in the marching band and a member of the National Honor Society. She then went to Kansas University and was in the Delta Gamma Sorority. It was there she met the love of her life and married Earle B. Slason, who preceded her in death. They spent the rest of their lives in the Colorado area; Estes Park, Parker, and Denver, where her husband built homes and she decorated them, as well as worked at the Bank of the West in Parker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Mildred Johnson, of KC, a daughter, Sheryl, and a sister, Shirley Jo Helen Quick, of Denver. She leaves a son, Robert Slason and Linda, a daughter, Karen S. Cassler, of Denver, a brother, Norm Johnson, of Overland Park, KS, and a sister, Carolyn R. Wright, of Prairie Village, KS, six grandchildren, and beloved nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held March 16 at the Parker County Cemetery, by family and friends.
