In May 1727 Jacob Williams was made Ensign of the Stepney Train Band; in 1733 he was made Lieutenant, and in May 1739 Captain.

Jacob married Martha BELDING on 24 Jun 1714. Martha was born about 1693; died on 29 Mar 1716. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Jacob married Eunice STANDISH on 29 Jul 1719. Eunice was born on 31 May 1698; died on 14 Apr 1770 in Connecticut. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Name:
In 1688 Jacob was a fence-viewer, and in 1689 a cooper. He drew land in the 1695 allotment. He was a sergeant, and later became a captain. He was one of the four sons-in-law of Josiah Gilbert who on 3-2-1698 petitioned the Court to order a distribution of the estate of Gilbert. In 1706 he bought land in Rocky Hill of his brother John Williams of Middletown. He died 9-26-1712. His will, probated 2-29-1713.

Jacob married Sarah GILBERT on 10 Dec 1685. Sarah (daughter of Josiah GILBERT and Elizabeth BELCHER) was born on 1 Dec 1661. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
