Name:
Elizabeth's father was the only son of Nathaniel and Elizabeth. He was one of the original proprietors and an early resident of Bristol, Rhode Island. In 1710 He was appointed Judge of Common Pleas in 1710, and for five years was also Judge of Probate. He served twenty years as councilor of the Massachusetts Bay Colony. Dorothy was of noble descent through her grandfather Edward Raynsford.

Elizabeth married Hon. Samuel VERNON, Esq. on 12 Jan 1724/5 in Newport, Rhode island. Samuel (son of Daniel VERNON and Anne HUTCHINSON) was born on 6 Dec 1683 in Kingstown, Rhode Island; died on 5 Dec 1737 in Newport, Rhode Island. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
