  1. 2.  Thomas HOO, Knt. was born before 1400; died on 13 Feb 1454/5.

    Notes:

    Name:
    Thomas Hoo, Knt., K.G., of Hoo in Linton, co. Bedford, Sheriff of Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire, son and heir of Thomas de Hoo, Knt., of Hoo, by Eleanor, daughter and co-heiress of Thomas Felton, Knt., of Litcham, Norfolk. He was born bef 100, and distinguished himself in the French wars. On 2 June 1448, for his good service in England, France and Normandy, he was created Lord Hoo of Hoo in the county of Bedford and of Hastings in the county of Sussex. He was summoned to Parliament from 2 Jan. 1448/9 by writs directed 'Thome Hoo Chivaler'. Thomas Hoo, Lord hoo, died testate on 13 Feb 1454/5. His will, dated 12 Feb 1545/5, provided bequests for the marriages of his daughters 'Anne, Alyanor and Elyzabeth', and names 'my lord Wells, my wyves father' and 'Alyenor my wyffe.'

  1. 6.  Sir Lionel DE WELLES, K.G. was born in 1406 (son of Eudes DE WELLES and Maud DE GREYSTOKE); died on 29 Mar 1461 in Slain at Towton.

    Name:
    He was summoned to Parliament from 25 Feb 1431/2 by writs directed 'Leoni de Welles'. A firm Lancastrian, he was taken prisoner by the Yorkists at Blore Heath on 23 Sep 1459, and was with Queen Margaret's army which won St. Albans on 17 Feb1460/1. Lionel De Welles, Lord Welles, was slain testate aged fifty-five at the Battle of Towton on 29 Mar 1461, and was buried with his first wife at Methley.

    Lionel married Joan DE WATERTON on 15 Aug 1417. Joan died after 18 Oct 1434. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
