    Name:
    He was mentioned in the will of his grandfather, Major Brian Pendleton in 1677, but in 1698 his half-brother, Joseph Pendleton, sold to Nicholas Morey, land on the Great Island at Portsmouyh, N.H., "one acre of which was given to my brother, James Pendleton." It would appear from this that James d. unmarried prior to 1698.
