    Name:
    The 1910 Census shows Nellie as the wife of Samuel S. Gibson, born 1849 in England. However, in the census for 1920, 1930 and 1940 show her as being listed as Elizabeth Warren.

    It shows this to be her 2nd marriage.

    There is a Samuel Gibson in Find a Grave, b. 13 Feb 1849 and died 21 Jul 1932. However, his headstone has the name of Margaret with him. She was born 23 Apr 1871 and died 18 May 1948. Samuel and Margaret are listed together in the 1920 and the 1930 census.

    MRS. NELLIE E. WARREN SUES FOR A DIVORCE

    Wichita, Aug. 4 - Mrs. Nellie E. Warren, a society leader, has begun suit for divorce against A.. Warren, president of the Warren Chemical company.

    The petition states that on various occasions during the last three years the defendant threatened her life with a drawn revolver and once struck her across the head with a shotgun, inflicting a serous wound. She has procured a retraining order to keep him from entering her house, from drawing money out of the bank or disposing of his property and asks for heavy alimony and the custody of their children. They were married in Lawrence on October 18, 1877.

    Excerpt from the Chazy Historian: " Anson, eldest son of William m. Bethida Stowe, lived in Chazy until 1867 when they went to Kansas. They had six children all born in Chazy. Their eldest son, William m. Elizabeth Winters, they lived in Chazy until 1867 and went west at the same time as his father. William and Elizabeth had three children born in Chazy, Anson Jr., Herbert Lewis and Nellie. william and Elizabeth were divorced, she died in Kansas 1897. He m. (2) Clara Orr at Potsdam and went back west."
