    RESIDENT HERE 50 YEARS DIES

    Henry Herman Petersen, 73, of 1848 Jackson, died late Saturday afternoon as the result of a heart attack at his home. He had been a resident here 50 years.

    Petersen was a carpenter and contracter before his retirement.

    He is survived by his wife, Emma, three daughters; Mrs. Howard J. Stephenson, 1623 North Spruce; Mrs T.C. Pitts, 253 South Battin, and Mrs. John Carroll, of the home; two sons, L. Howard, Kansas City, Mo., and Ralph, 1830 Arkansas; six Grandchildren; a brother, George, of Chicago; and a sister, Lota Mandaus, Bucklin, Kansas.

    Funeral services will be held at Cochran Mortuary at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. John Baxter of the Calvary Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.

    Henry married Emma Georgia KNIGHT on 15 Apr 1903 in Wichita, Sedgwick Co., Kansas.
