    Of Port Jervis and Honeoye Falls, N.Y. Dorothy R. Edwards, of Honeoye Falls, a retired school teacher for the Port Jervis and Huguenot Schools for 45 years and a former life-long resident of Port Jervis, died Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2001 at Highland Hospital, Rochester, N.Y. She was 94. The daughter of the late LeRoy and Gertrude Clark Reynolds, she was born July 7, 1906, in Jersey City, N.J. She was an active member of the Drew United Methodist Church for over 55 years, serving in various capacities as youth choir director, Sunday school teacher and choir member. She was nominated as Outstanding Elementary Teachers of America in 1972. She was also a member of the Daughters of American Revolution (DAR) and a Founding Member of the Old Mine Chapter (DAR); and a member of Port Jervis Community Club. She was an avid genealogist, researching family history as well as local history through the Minisink Valley Historical Society. She was a troop leader for the Girl Scouts of America, Port Jervis and Huguenot. Survivors include one daughter, Barbara C. Edwards of Port Jervis; one son, William D. Edwards and his wife, Rachel, of Honeoye Falls; five grandchildren, Amy Sauschuck of Costa Mesa, Calif., Allen and Brian Sauschuck of Huguenot, Emily Edwards and Colin Edwards, both of Honeoye Falls; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, George T. Edwards, who passed away on April 3, 1992; and two sisters, Claire O'Day of Westfield, N.J. and Luella McHugh of
    Jersey City. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25, at the Knight Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 East Main St., Port Jervis. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 26, in the Drew United Methodist Church, Port Jervis. The Rev. Robert Cassidy will officiate. Burial will be in Rural Valley Cemetery, Cuddebackville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Drew United Methodist Church, Port Jervis, N.Y. 12771. Arrangements are under the direction of Knight Auchmoody Funeral Home, Port Jervis, NY.
