    Earl Beeman, 79, of Meridian, passed away Monday, Sept. 14, 2009, at Meridian Manor Nursing Home. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, in the Lawson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. in Red Oak Cemetery, Red Oak, Texas. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, at Lawson Funeral Home.

    Earl Leon Beeman was born in Waco, Texas, to the late John Henry Beeman and Ethel Lorene Locke Beeman. He was raised in the Double Mountains area at Peacock, Texas. He enlisted in the U. S. Army and served from 1951 to 1959. Earl was united in marriage to Margie Jane Thrift on Feb. 14, 1953, in Cullman, Alabama.

    Earl worked as a road and bridge builder for many years and worked on many freeways and bridges across the country. He later settled in Mesquite, later moving to Lancaster and then to Meridian in 2000.

    He was preceded in death by his wife in July of 2002; brothers, J. W. Beeman and Robert Beeman; sister, Birty Newton; and brother-in-law, Rubin Firth.

    Survivors include sons, Charles Wayne Beeman and wife, Becky, and James Wesley Beeman and companion, Sidney Carlisle; sisters, Betty Shaw and husband, Ronald, and Donna Baker and husband, Richard; daughter-in-law, Melody Beeman; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers,
    Thomas Beeman, Victor Beeman, James Beeman, and Jerry Don Beeman; sisters, Dorothy Nelson, Joyce Robertson, Sandra Beeman, Laurine Firth, and Frances Beaty; sisters-in law,
    Pat Baker, and Bobbie Joyce Beeman.

    Ethel Beeman, 85, of Euless, died Thursday, Aug. 10.

    Services were Monday, Aug. 14 at Rest Haven Funeral Home Chapel in Rockwall with Rev. M. L. Jones officiating. Burial was in Rest Haven Memorial Park's Garden of Love.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Beeman, and a son, John Beeman.

    Survivors include six sons, Earl Beeman and wife Margie, Thomas Beeman and wife Fredda Earl, Victor Beeman and wife Mary, Robert Beeman and wife Pat, and Jerry Beeman and James Beeman, ; six daughters, Birty Newton, Frances Beaty and husband James, Joyce Robertson and husband Melvin, Lorine Firth and husband Henry, Dorothy Nelson and husband Don and Sandra Streger; a sister, Mozelle Shellenburg; 45 grandchildren; and 76 great grandchildren; 13 great great grandchildren.
