    Wendell B. Scott, 82, of Browns, formerly of Olney, died at 8:25 a.m. Saturday, June 19, 1999 in Olney Care Center.

    Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Stasi-Grove Funeral Home in Olney with Rev. Quentin Beard officiating. Burial will be in Moravian Cemetery in West Salem. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

    Mr. Scott was born March 10, 1917, in West Salem, the son of John and Maude (Brant) Scott. He married Mildred Bare in Olney on October 17, 1936.

    He was a retired mill foreman.

    Mr. Scott is survived by his wife, Mildred Scott, of Browns, three sons; Larry Scott of West Salem, Jim Scott of Olney and Bernard (Bud) Scott of Dundas; three daughters, Brenda Scott of Browns, Diana Stout of Claremont and Mary Ann Snyder of Browns; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters.

    Wendell married Mildred F. BARE on 17 Oct 1936 in Olney, Richland Co., Illinois. Mildred (daughter of Wilbur Leonard BARE and Bertha Lorene SCHRADER) was born on 21 Jul 1920 in Richland County, Illinois; died on 22 Mar 2000 in Browns, Edwards Co., Illinois; was buried in Moravian Cemetery, West Salem, Edwards Co., Illinois.     Mildred F. Scott, 79, of Browns, died at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2000 at her residence.

    Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Stasi-Grove Funeral Home in Olney with Rev. Quentin Beard of First Assembly of God officiating. Burial will be in Moravian Cemetery in West Salem. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

    Mrs. Scott was born July 21, 1920 in Richland County, the daughter of Leonard and Bertha (Schrader) Bare. She married Wendell Scott October 17, 1936 in Olney. He preceded her in death.

    She was a member of First Assembly of God Church where she will be greatly missed.

    Mrs. Scott is survived by three sons, Larry Scott of West Salem, Jim Scott of Olney and Bernard (Bud) Scott of Dundas; three daughters, Brenda Scott and Mary Ann Snyder, both of Browns and Diana Stout of Claremont; one brother, Don Bare of Olney; five sisters, Vivian Combs and Maxine Witte, both of Dundas, Pat Ginder of Latham, Sue Harmon of Olney and Betty Swinson of Parkersburg; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

    Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother and three sisters.
