Berdenia Frances KEYS HACK was the daughter of William KEYS and Harriet BEACH. Her father crossed the plains to California in 1850. Berdenia married George Washington HACK on 24 Nov 1868 near Antelope, California, on the farm of Berdenia's father. George and Berdenia had only one child, Clara, who married Dewitt S. SLAWSON, but that union produced five grand-children. George Washingoton HACK was President of the Sacramento Patrons & Farmers Mutual Life Insurance Company. He was also an officer of the Grange, local school district, and his church.
